Power Washing
Once a year is right for most Eastern Iowa homes — ideally in spring to clear the mold, algae, and pollen that build up over our wet winters and early seasons. Homes with heavy tree coverage, north-facing walls, or older siding may benefit from more frequent cleaning. See our residential power washing page for details.
Pressure washing uses high-force water to blast grime off hard surfaces like concrete, brick, and stone. Soft washing uses low pressure combined with cleaning solutions to break down mold, algae, and buildup on delicate surfaces — making it safe for vinyl siding, painted wood, and rooflines where high pressure would cause damage.
With soft washing, yes. We use low-pressure technique specifically for vinyl siding to clean effectively without cracking panels, driving water behind seams, or stripping paint. High-pressure washing on vinyl can cause damage — soft washing is the correct method for this surface.
Vinyl siding, painted wood, older brick, and cedar shingles can all be damaged by high-pressure washing. These surfaces need soft washing or a controlled low-pressure method instead. We assess every surface before we start and use the right method for the material.
Deck Staining
Every 2–3 years for most decks, depending on sun exposure, foot traffic, and wood type. Iowa winters are hard on untreated wood — freeze-thaw cycles drive moisture into the grain and accelerate cracking and graying. Keeping up with staining extends deck life significantly. See our deck staining page for more.
Late spring through early fall — when temperatures are consistently above 50°F and rain isn’t forecast for 24–48 hours after application. The wood needs to be dry and the stain needs time to cure before cold sets in. Applying too late in the season means the stain may not bond properly before the first freeze.
Yes — always. Stain applied to a dirty, mildewed, or greying deck won’t bond properly and will peel or fade early. We clean and prep the surface before any staining so the product penetrates the wood correctly and lasts as long as it should.
Snow Removal
Yes. Seasonal agreements guarantee you’re on our route all winter at a predictable rate — the most reliable way to make sure your property is cleared after every storm. See our snow removal page for details.
Before the first snowfall. Reliable contractors fill their routes early in the season — waiting until snow is already falling means scrambling for help. Booking ahead guarantees your spot and locks in your rate.
Yes — residential driveways, walkways, and entries as well as commercial parking lots, sidewalks, and entrances. We also offer salting and de-icing to manage ice between snowfalls and reduce slip-and-fall liability.
Agricultural Power Washing
Removing mud, crop residue, and chemical buildup prevents corrosion, exposes wear and leaks early, and protects components and resale value. Washing after harvest — before residue hardens and traps moisture against metal — is especially valuable. See our tractor and equipment washing page.
Typically between each group of animals to maintain hygiene and reduce disease pressure. Thorough cleaning between groups supports biosecurity standards and livestock health. See our dedicated hog confinement washing page for more.
Yes. We work around your planting and harvest windows so cleaning supports your operation instead of interrupting it during your busiest stretches. Contact us early in the season to reserve your spot. Learn more about our agricultural power washing services.
